This is another posts unrelated to the Monster Roommates short. Over the course of the fall semester I've been working with my instructor, Howard Cook, on turning a short story into a set of storyboards. “The Present” by Simon Rich was featured on an episode of This American Life, where it was read by actor Daniel Radcliffe as part of a segment on the “meet cute” in romantic comedies. This story takes the idea of a meet cute and kind of flips it on its head a little bit, and throws some time travel into the mix.
